GROTESQUERIE
FX NETWORKS
Set against the backdrop of the American desert, Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie weaves a tale of ritualistic murder and moral decay. To capture the show's disturbing convergence of faith and fear, we explored a series of diverse visual concepts.
DEADLY SINS
Drawing inspiration from the nightmarish density of Hieronymus Bosch, we developed a visual language of "sublime chaos." This concept reimagines the Seven Deadly Sins as a series of digital collages where grotesque biological forms invade modern environments. We designed the motion to feel like a visual investigation: the camera slowly probes the assemblages, punctuated by rapid-fire edits that reveal the persistent darkness hiding in plain sight.

HEART OF DARKNESS
Darkness is taking over — economic stress, the fentanyl epidemic, the Covid lockdown. And now, a pit from hell has opened, releasing God knows what upon us all. This direction uses an ominous black hole as a metaphor for the oppression of these evils. As it expands on screen, consuming everything, we catch glimpses of its contents... peering into the very depths of our souls.
