SMART MOVES

BLOCK & TACKLE is a creative studio specializing in concept-driven design and motion. We balance strategy and craft to provide the creative leverage to move big ideas. Our approach is earnest and considered, with a bit of mischief.

Based in Queens, NYC, and led by Creative Director Adam Gault, the studio produces award-winning work spanning commercial direction, broadcast packaging, and brand systems for clients including FX, Disney, Google, ESPN, NBCUniversal, and The New York Times.

Adam’s background is shaped by the high-energy culture of NYC motion design, where he held lead creative roles at influential shops like Eyeball and Sony Music Studios before starting his own practice in 2006. A RISD graduate with a concept-first discipline, he oversees output that avoids a "house style" in favor of whatever visual language the problem demands.
