children of the underground

fx networks

For FX’s six-part docuseries, Children of the Underground, we built a promo graphics package that echoes the series’ unsettling mix of secrecy, danger, and moral ambiguity.

Drawing from the show’s archival textures and clandestine subject matter, we developed a fragmented visual language built from torn paper, distressed film, obscured imagery, and whisper-thin typography. The design behaves like evidence being uncovered - images flicker in and out, frames misalign, and compositions feel half-remembered, as if assembled from the edges of hidden lives.

A TALE OF DELUSION

Our motion system leans into restraint and negative space, using deliberate pacing and analog imperfections to mirror the covert network at the heart of the story. The result is a package that’s tense, intimate, and atmospheric.
