BLACK HISTORY MONTH

NBCU

Building on the foundation of our 2021 work, we partnered with NBCU to evolve their Black History Month identity for the "Together We Rise" campaign. We injected new life into the system with a richer color palette, sharper typography, and a kinetic, staccato motion language. The system relies on stripped-back layouts and raw animation to let the message cut through the noise, championing a more equitable future with undeniable urgency.

THE MOVEMENT

We grounded the design in the aesthetics of the movement, pulling inspiration from Black Panther posters of the 1960s and 70s. The palette relies on a historical mix of faded blue and punchy orange, while the typography uses a strong, condensed font to reinforce the weight of the messaging. By adding subtle grit and texture, we gave the motion a tactile quality that feels less like a broadcast package and more like a movement.
