BETTER TOGETHER

GOOGLE CES

For CES 2022, Google teamed up with BLOCK & TACKLE to develop content that playfully expressed the event’s “Better together” campaign. We designed and animated a suite of content for the pavilion's massive exterior LED facade and interior monitors. While the physical booth was ultimately paused due to Covid health precautions, the work remains a vibrant exploration of the Android ecosystem, showcasing how distinct devices seamlessly connect to create something greater. We’re proud of the work and look forward to a time when we can all be back - and better - together.

INTERSECTIONS

The visual strategy anchors on connection. We utilized the intersection of shapes to represent the "handshake" between Android devices. When these forms overlap, they transform, creating new colors and geometries. It is a visual metaphor for the ecosystem itself: the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts.

DRAWN TOGETHER

The canvas was a colossal 52’ by 18’ LED screen wrapping the booth’s exterior. Our task was to turn this surface into a digital beacon for attendees. We developed a flexible content system that alternated between functional announcements, Android branding, and high-energy "Art Breaks".

THE ART OF TOGETHERNESS

Our team developed a series of "Art Breaks" — six distinct narrative loops designed to provide an unexpected moment of visual delight. Each of these vignettes takes the viewer on a playful journey, spinning unique stories around the simple joy of connection.

EUREKA

Inspiration can strike from the smallest catalyst – sometimes you just need a little nudge.

MACHINE

The interaction between our devices is getting more fluid and seamless – like a well-oiled machine.

FRIENDS

The more friends, the merrier – when you help each other out, there’s no limit to what you can accomplish.
